Why Volunteer
SAC members oversee several initiatives throughout the year. We have many standing committees in addition to coordinators and representatives on SAC and all are lead and run by parent volunteers and council members. Parents are always welcomed and encouraged to volunteer to any and all of these committees.
All parents in our school community are welcome to attend any SAC meeting throughout the year. We can only achieve our goals with your help and support as well as through volunteering efforts.

School Council Committees
Committees are the life-blood of the School Council - where all the work gets done. All campaigns and school events are run through the different standing committees which offer a great deal of flexibility and opportunities for parents, staff, and even students to get involved as a member or a lead of a committee or as a student volunteer.
Some committees are long standing ones, others more recently created, and some are ad-hoc, lasting only as long as it is needed to address a particular issue at hand. All committees are directly responsible to SAC. The leads of the committees are responsible to plan for their campaign or event and can use the provided manuals for each event. At the end of each campaign and event, the leads and volunteers give their feedback to SAC and the manual is updated accordingly.
All committees for 2019-2020 are listed below. Just like SAC, committees are only effective and functional if there are volunteers to help. If you are interested in joining a committee, use the sign-up below and we will put you in contact with the committee lead.
